What we collect and what we do not

Privacy

A factual description of what this site does with your data, not a boilerplate policy.

This page explains exactly what the Dawani site collects and what it does not. It is written in plain language and describes the site’s actual behaviour, not a general intention.

What we collect

The site collects nothing about you while you browse. The only source of data is the “Start a project” form at the end of the home page, and what you send through it is:

  • your name;
  • your organization (optional);
  • your email address;
  • the kind of organization you represent;
  • the text of your message about the idea.

Alongside the message we also store the language of the page you sent it from, that page’s path, your browser type, and a hashed fingerprint of the internet address you sent from. The fingerprint is a one-way hash that cannot be turned back into an address; we use it only to stop the form being flooded by automated submissions.

Why we collect it

For one reason: to read your message and reply to you. We do not use your data for marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with any third party.

Where it is stored

Messages are stored in the site’s own database on Cloudflare, and a notification copy is emailed to the Dawani team. The site itself runs on Cloudflare’s servers.

Protection against automated submissions

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that the form was submitted by a person rather than a program. It is a security control, not a tracking or advertising tool.

No tracking, no advertising

The site loads no analytics, tracking or advertising tools. If any such tool is enabled in the future, a consent notice will appear before it loads, and this page will be updated to name it.

The one exception: Cloudflare, the hosting provider, may collect aggregated performance measurements for the site (Cloudflare Web Analytics) without cookies and without identifying anyone.

Children’s data

We ask for no information about any specific child, and we ask you not to send such information through the form. If something of that kind reaches us unintentionally, we delete it.

Retention and deletion

We keep form messages for as long as the conversation with you is live or relevant to a project. If you want your message and its data deleted, send a request through the same form and we will delete it.

How to reach us

The “Start a project” form on the home page is our only published contact channel, and it is also the route for deletion requests or questions about your data.

Updates to this page

If what the site collects or where it is stored changes, this page is updated first. The last-updated date is shown at the bottom of the page.
