Parent Trust Index
What makes a parent trust an app or a platform? Eight questions your product answers. Estimated time: about 4 minutes. Your answers never leave your browser and are not stored. Evidence grade: D, an independent Dawani framework.

The questions

How does it score, and what does it not claim?
The index asks for the age band and the product kind. Then it puts eight questions to the product itself: real name, advertising, open messaging, purchases, autoplay, data deletion, what the parent learns, and why each field is collected. You answer yes, partly or no, or not applicable when the feature does not exist, and that dimension leaves the score. The number is the mean of the applicable dimensions, with real name, chat and autoplay weighing more for younger bands. The result ends with what raises trust, what lowers it with one design move each, and the sentences your product could show a parent first. It runs in your browser, and it is neither a survey of parents nor a certification.
What this tool does not claim
This is a Dawani working framework, not a survey conducted with real parents and not a measurement of any one parent’s trust. The eight questions are the ones Dawani asks of a children’s product, not an official standard. The result certifies nothing; it is the start of a review your team runs with real parents.

Questions about the Parent Trust Index
Are my answers about my product sent to Dawani?
No. The index computes inside your browser, and nothing you answered reaches Dawani or any server.
Is this a survey run with real parents?
No. It is a Dawani working framework that orders the questions parents most often ask; it does not measure any one family’s trust. Testing the suggested sentences with real parents is your next step.
How do I use the suggested first-screen sentences?
Show them to three parents in the target band before they enter the product, and ask what they understood and what still worries them.
Have a product that needs parents’ trust?
Tell us which of the eight dimensions is weakest for you, and we will turn it into a review plan with real parents.
