A tool that runs in your browser
KPI Translator
Turns a vanity metric into a child-outcome metric, and adds the guardrail that is missing. Estimated time: about 3 minutes. Your answers never leave your browser and are not stored. Evidence grade: D, an independent Dawani framework.

The questions
The tool is loading.
How does it score, and what does it not claim?
The tool asks for the age band, the product kind, and who asks for the metric. It then asks for the metric that sits at the top of your reports today, and for the goal as written in the proposal or the contract. It returns two outcome indicators you can observe without an exam, plus a line on how to collect them at that age. It then names the guardrail your current metric hides. It also says what that metric is still good for as an operational number, not a definition of success. The score rates your measurement readiness, not your product. Everything runs in your browser. The indicators are hypotheses to test with children, not evidence of impact.
What this tool does not claim
This tool designs measurement; it is not evidence of impact. The indicators it proposes are hypotheses to test with real children, and they do not by themselves prove the product helped anyone. The score you see rates your team’s readiness to measure, not the quality of your product.

Questions about the KPI Translator
Does anyone keep the metric I entered?
No. The tool computes inside your browser only, and nothing you typed leaves it.
Are the suggested indicators evidence the product helps children?
No. They are measurement hypotheses that need testing with real children, not evidence that an effect actually happened.
Should I replace my current metric with the new ones right away?
No need. Add the two new indicators to your reports, and keep your original metric as an operational number rather than a definition of success.
Have a metric that needs translating?
Tell us about the metric that tops your reports today, and we will build with you a measurement plan that reaches a child outcome.
